우리 나라에도 킬리피쉬 애호가들이 꽤 있습니다.

 

킬리피쉬는 난생 송사리과이므로 알을 낳아 부화합니다.

하지만 번식은 난태생에 비해 까다롭죠. 경험자라면 용이하다라고 생각할지 몰라도

대부분의 초보자들에게 어항내에서의 번식은 꽤나 어렵게 느껴진답니다.

 

자연상태에서는 원산지의 기후특성상 건기,우기를 가려 토양에 알을 낳아서 건기에 대비합니다.

알은 다음의 우기까지 가만히 토양의 얼마 안되는 습기 속에서 보존되었다가,

비가 와서 웅덩이가 생기면 그때 부화해 살아가다 다시 건기가 되면 산란을  반복해서 자손을 이어 습성이 있죠.

 

토양과 함꼐 보관된 알을 팔곤하는데요. 라쵸비 역시 그런식으로 판매가 됩니다.

물을 부어주고 온도를 맞춰주면 부화 한다고 하데요..^^;;;ㅎㅎ

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nothobranchius rachovii is one of the Soil Spawning Killifish that inhabit the temporary rain pools in Africa. Males may achieve a size of 2 inches and have predominantly red scales with some aquablue coloration in between, the aquablue color continues onto the fins which are also white tipped. Females may achieve a size of 1.5 inches and are the normal gray Notho female bland . The eggs may be collected by siphoning the peat moss or coconut fiber thru a fine fishnet or an old piece of ladies panty hose. Squeeze all the excess water out and then store the eggs in a plastic bag (previously marked with the collection date) for 3 to 6 months. Notho fry are very tiny fry, they will need infusoria or green water to start but will begin eating microworms or baby brine shrimp within a day or 2.
