국내 수족관에서 헤체트 또는 실버 헤체트라 불리는 녀석입니다. 배가 아주 매력적이죠? (^^ㆀ)

특이한 모습때문에 좋아하는 분들이 계시는가 하는 반면, 완전 비호감이라 하시는분들도 많이 있더군요.

 

Sometimes racing around the aquarium and other times remaining motionless but Always hanging around the surface, they will make a fine and interesting addition to any community set up.
  

보통은 수면 근처에서 수영하기를 좋아하구요,

때론 수조안을 레이싱하듯 손쌀같이 유영하기도 합니다만, 대부분은 꼼짝도 안하고 정지상태로 있을때가 많습니다.

Widely found throughout Amazon River basin, Peruvian Amazon, middle Amazon, the Guianas and Venezuela.
Not one of the most colorful fish, the base color of the fish is Silver with hints of Yellow or Green. Starting near the gills there is a long stripe that extends to the base of the tail fin, it is also yellow or green in color. The fins are transparent with a slight Golden hue to them.
 

프로필에서 얘기했듯이 아마존 바신 유역, 페루, 기아나와 베네쥬엘라에이르기까지 넓은 지역에 분포하구요.

다른 관상어에 비해 컬러풀 하진 않습니다만, 은은한 옐로우와 그린이 반짝거리는 실버가 나름 매력적입니다.

아가미 부근 부터 꼬리까지 기다란 스트라이프 줄무늬가 있구요, 살짝 금빛이나는 투명한 지느러미를 가지고 있습니다. ^^

 

 

 

These Hatchets must be kept in schools of at least six or they seem to decline and have a much shorter lifespan. They are excellent jumpers so make sure you have a tight fitting cover with as few gaps as possible. They will do well in a community aquarium that has good filtration and a current that runs the length of the tank to simulate a stream. Floating plants as well as driftwood and open areas for swimming are needed. Their diet should ideally consist of live mosquito larvae and fruit flies although the freeze dried kind are also taken. They will also eat the standard flake food. Remember they jump!

 

녀석들은 역시 6마리 이상 작은 그룹을 만들어 주는것이 좋습니다.

그리 군영을 좋아하진 않지만 어쨋든 무리지어 생할하는 습관을 가졌거든요. 

 

아...그리고 헤체트 이녀석들에 대한 제일 주의해야 할점...!!

녀석들은 엄청난 점프 실력을 지녔습니다.

체형 보심 금새 아시겠지만..납짝하고 키는 큰편이죠. 또 가슴지느러미가 위쪽으로 길게 잘 발달되어 있답니다.

아울러 가슴근육도 빵빵하죠.  이 근육을 이용해서 엄청난 점프력을 자랑한답니다.

헤체트를 선택하시는분이라면 수조 뚜껑이 필수랍니다. (^^ㆀ) 녀석들이 멸치로 변한걸 보지않기 위해선 말이죠.

 

 

  

그렇다고 아무때나 튀어 오르진않습니다. 보통은 위험을 느끼거나 놀랐을때 점프를 하구요.

점프를 위해선 약간의 활주 공간이 필요한데..어항에선 활주공간이 부족한 관계로 그렇게 까지 높이 뛰진 못합니다.

야생에선 10~12m씩 활주한뒤 점프하면 최대 1.5m이상을 날라 다닐수 있다고 합니다. (^^ㆀ)

 

날씨도 꿀꿀한데...저녁땐 전이나 부쳐 먹어야 겠습니다.

아니, 부쳐 달라고 해야 하는건가요?  ^^;;;;
